Secondary Programs (Grades 8 to 12) For Grade 8 and 9 StudentsWe offer a complete set of courses for Grade 8 and 9 students. However, Grade 8 and 9 students who wish to take online or paper-based courses must be fully enrolled with AVS or seek special permission from the school administrators. Please call to us at (604) 859-9803 to speak to our Program Advisor. For Grade 10 to 12 Students (Adults too!) Any Grade 10 to 12 student from any school in British Columbia is eligible to take one or more courses with Abbotsford Virtual School FREE of charge even while you are enrolled in a regular "bricks and mortar" school! You can take paper-based or online courses!
Abbotsford Virtual School offers some unique programs such as Spanish and Punjabi programs and Journalism. We offer Cisco 11, Cisco 12a/b, Java 11, Java 12, Web Design 12, A Plus 11 all as Dual Credit Courses. A dual credit course receives credit from AVS AND from the University of the Fraser Valley at no cost to you. If you take one of our Dual Credit courses and achieve a “B” or better then upon registering at UFV you will be able to get these course put on your UFV transcript.
