Online Courses - Semester-based, Class Paced (just like regular high school courses)
AVS Online Courses are semester-based courses and operate like a "regular" high school course. There are due dates for assignments and scheduled tests. Students are expected to keep in contact with their teacher regularly, follow weekly timelines and participate in discussion forums. Students will have scheduled online meetings for online help. Teachers have the same expectations for students as they have for a regular face-to-face courses. Please note that student success in AVS online courses is very high. Course Schedule 2009-2010
Deadline for Registration in Semester 1 Online Courses is September 18, 2009! Some courses fill up quickly so register early. Semester 1 courses started the week of September 9, 2009 with an Orientation and are delivered in one semester (just like regular school!).

"Any Time, Any Pace, Any Place " Courses (Paper-based):
These courses meet Ministry guidelines and provide a step-by-step, reading oriented approach to course completion online or in a paper-based format. We require that all students at Abbotsford Virtual School work with their teacher to create a feasible, but strict, timeline for unit and course completion. Tutoring and learning-friendly work areas are a part of our program as well as online meetings and tutorials to ensure students success.
